Bolognese Sauce
Serves: 4

You Will Need...
1 tbsp olive oil, 1 bag (500g) M&S Soffritto Base Frozen, 2 tsp chopped garlic, 500g beef mince, 3 tbsp Everything Tomato, Garlic & Herb Paste, 2 x 400g tins chopped tomatoes & fresh basil, to serve (optional).

Method
1. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large saucepan, add the soffritto, cook on a medium heat until soft for approx. 20 mins. Stir occasionally.
2. Add the garlic and cook for a further 5 mins.
3. Increase the heat to medium-high, add the beef mince and cook stirring for 3-4 mins until the meat is browned.
4. Add the Everything Tomato, Garlic & Herb Paste and cook for a further 3 mins.
5. Add the chopped tomatoes, stir and bring to the boil.
6. Reduce to a gentle simmer and cover with a lid. Cook for 45 mins stirring occasionally, until you have a rich, thick sauce. Season to taste. Serve with cooked spaghetti and garnish with basil leaves if using.
